Short but sweet interviews. Nice way to start off a beautiful Sunday.

Man, it's cold here in MD this morning, but Mark's posts do make it more bearable. As to Strasburg, who will ever forget that first game that he pitched against the Pirates? Only trouble was he threw every pitch that year like it was the last pitch in the 9th inning of the World Series. I'm really getting the impression that he is not only stronger, but much more relaxed and more comfortable in his own skin.
Denard Span is someone that I really believe makes this team a lot better. Our outfield will be spectacularly effective. Werth stays in RF another year, Harper in LF. Good piece in the WaPo this morning quoting Jayson telling Bryce that defensive liabilities play left. He also said in due time that they would switch sides. I think Jayson will play left long before Ryan Z moves to first. Span is going to lead off, and I honestly think that Werth will bat right behind him. His wrist is still not 100% which will probably effect his power. Play to his strength, i.e. line drive singles and doubles with Span ahead of him on the bases, and Harper, Zim, and ALR behind him. It's, on paper, a thrill to imagine. It will be even better watching it from my seat in sec. 311! GYFNG!!!

Joe, Its cold here in NoVa also. I am sipping my morning cup of coffee, but haven't looked at WaPo yet this morning. Now you've got me interested in reading about Jayson's comment to Bryce. To be teased like that is a sure sign of affection, especially when its obviously not true.

Sonny, it was definitely said in jest, but at the same time Werth stressed the fact that Bryce is still very limited with his experience of playing a MLB outfield, and still has a lot to learn.

Excellent interviews Mark. Love that Stras actually looked at you a couple of times and not just a the ground. He can be so shy/awkward at times.

1 month i will be in Lakeland. Can't wait!!!
