Milwaukee, as I've been pointing out all week, owns baseball's best home record. And ace Yovani Gallardo is on the mound for this decisive Game 5 at Miller Park. So the deck would certainly seem to tilt in Milwaukee's favor.
But Arizona looked like a totally different team out in the desert, and ace Ian Kennedy is probably eager to bounce back from his Game 1 defeat. Plus, this is a team that seemed to post more rallies than any other in the sport all season. The D'backs simply don't panic at any situation thrown their way.
And, as we saw last night in the Bronx, you never know what you're going to see in a do-or-die Game 5. So buckle up, this should be a good one...

Nyjer is back in the lineup against the RH pitcher. I hope he continues that 0-fer success he has been having.

Nyjer's double and run in the 4th looked pretty good. Too bad Nats shrinks couldn't have helped him overcome his demons here. Go Brewers

I predict heroics from Nyjer here. I hated how we gave him away without having anyone in the wings. He'll have another big hit in this inning.
I find myself rooting for the Brewers, despite their roots in the Selig family. Their fans have had a looooonnngg wait for a postseason win ....
And MORGAN WINS IT FOR THEM! Nicely done, Tony Plush. Nicely done.

Nyjer! Love that guy! Yes, he is definitely "out there" but as long as he can play the game and his teammates are good with him, then I can accept his eccentricities. Better than go through the season like we just did wondering who our leadoff batter and centerfielder should be. (Jayson Werth???)
(And his two "F-- Yeahs!" were shouted to the fans in attendance, albeit within earshot Sam Ryan's microphone. And it was cable TV anyway, not over the air broadcast network.)

So an F bomb on cable tv is ok but one on national networks is not??
Still very happy we do not have him here. He will self destruct sooner or later but it was a great moment for him.

I'm with you, sjm. Watching the game, I found that I've moved on from Morgan and his shtick. Not a fan of that whole exaggerated monster gesture thing that he and the Brewers have going on. Or the broadcast F-bombs. I think I'll keep on rooting for the rally squirrel. Yep. Squirrels and tigers, that's the ticket...
I am very happy for Nyjer Morgan.
There are people I like who have traits that I dislike. Life can be like that.
Good for Nyjer. Let him have his moment in the sun.
But the Cards will cool him and the Brewers off. His twitter taunts to Pujols are not forgotten and will not be forgiven. I predict bean balls.
What's happened to the Nyger who played here? No bad baserunning, no throwning to the wrong base, no constant fake bunts, no .220 hitter. I wonder what the difference in Milwaukee is?
