US Presswire photo Citizens Bank Park erupted last night when Ryan Howard homered off Kyle Lohse. |
Tonight, Lee will be on the mound at Citizens Bank Park, looking to put Philadelphia up 2-0 in its division series against St. Louis, which desperately needs a big-time performance from ace Chris Carpenter. Carpenter was brilliant in Wednesday night's regular-season finale, shutting out the Astros to help the Cardinals clinch the wild-card. But this will be the first time he's pitching on three days' rest, so there's no way to know what you're going to get out of him.
Makes for a compelling matchup in the nightcap of today's postseason tripleheader. Enjoy...

Why can't anyone pitch on {expletive deleted] three days' rest anymore?
This is not pretty.....
Got prettier. Ok, well, got more interesting, at least.
My two favorite teams are the Nats and whoever is playing the phillies. Lets go Cardinals!!
Oooooh, happy a.m. game results. PhILLies lose. Yay.
Heading over to Disney today to watch the Nats/Tigers FIL game.
dj in Fl..... if you are still coming to the game today, you need to go to the ticket box office at the vehicle drop off circle in front of Cracker Jack Stadium and pick up a complimentary pass. They play on field #3 which is just east of the handicap parking lot behind center field of the stadium.
NatsJack, any Rendon sightings?
Rendon has spent most of his time working out with Bryce Harper. He didn't dress for either of the games I was able to attend but I did see him taking batting practice on a side field last week.
I'll ask around today but I think he's gone to Arizona with the rest of the AFL guys.
$120? Well, maybe he gets by on the meal money.
