US Presswire photo The Rangers look to take two in a row from the Rays. |
So the pressure's on Tampa Bay's de facto ace to come up big tonight in the pivotal Game 3 of this year's ALDS rematch. With the series tied, a Rays victory puts them in position to close out the series tomorrow. A loss, on the other hand, puts them on the verge of elimination.
Of course, the Rays lineup will need to produce itself against Colby Lewis, who enters this one with a 3-0 career record against manager Joe Maddon's squad. And the Rangers also go into this game feeling good about themselves after pounding out eight runs on 10 hits during their Game 2 victory in Arlington...

Mark, I was all ready to trash your use of Lewis' W-L record against the Rays instead of more meaningful statistics against the guys on the 2011 Rays, so I ran his career numbers against the current Rays. 64 plate appearances, .182/.295/.255 slash line with all their key guys except Jennings represented.
You win this round.
I see that no one is commenting on this game. Is that because we've all been put to sleep by Buck Martinez's drone? I think he must be the most boring color commentator in history. Zzzzzzzzzz.
Their bullpen stinks.
Agree with Sec. 222, commentators are boring, can tell they don't have any emotion invested in the game. Nice to see ex-Nat Joel Peralta have a good inning, albeit in a loss.
Agree with Dawn re. "Guns" Peralta. He did get the job done out of the 'pen, but by then it was too late. Seems like it's getting late for the Rays, too. Come on, fellas, prove me wrong.
