Game 78: Diamondbacks at Nats

Mark Zuckerman / NATS INSIDER
When the Nationals take the field later this afternoon for their series finale against the Diamondbacks, they'll find themselves in a rare position: With an opportunity to sweep a series of at least three games. This is only the fourth time this season they've been in such a position, the first time since April 28 when they lost the finale of a four-game series with the Reds.

It feels like ancient history at this point, but this was a regular occurrence around here last season. The Nationals had 19 opportunity to sweep a three- or four-game series in 2012, underscoring just how much they've been fighting an uphill battle in 2013.

If you're going for a sweep, who better to have on the mound than Stephen Strasburg, looking to continue his recent hot streak? Unfortunately, the D'backs are sending a mighty impressive young pitcher to the mound themselves in Patrick Corbin, the 23-year-old lefty looking to improve to 10-0 on the season.

It's going to be another hot, muggy, potentially stormy day at the park. If you're headed over here, bring your umbrella and/or poncho. If you're stuck at work, check back here for updates throughout...

3:18 p.m. — Your weather update: The tarp is currently being rolled out over the infield. That wouldn't seem to bode well for an on-time start, since it takes 30 minutes to get the field ready.

4:25 p.m. — Good news: The tarp is being removed and the rain has stopped. No sign of the pitchers yet, but figure first pitch will be somewhere in the neighborhood of 5 p.m.

5:07 p.m. — And we are underway at last, after a 1-hour, 2-minute rain delay. Stephen Strasburg starts off Gerardo Parra with a 95 mph fastball, which Parra skies to center field for a quick out.

5:10 p.m. — That didn't take long. Strasburg retired the side on eight pitches, following Parra's flyout with a pair of groundballs to the left side of the infield. Solid start to the afternoon for the right-hander.

5:18 p.m. — Hmm, you get the sense that after the rain delay on a getaway day for both clubs, these guys are going to be hacking at the plate. Both lineups were mighty aggressive in the first inning, with Ryan Zimmerman delivering the lone hit: a double to the base of the wall in right-center. Unfortunately, he was stranded there when Jayson Werth popped out to end the inning. 0-0.

5:28 p.m. — A leadoff walk from Strasburg to open the second, but that's all he allowed. A big assist goes to Denard Span, who glided back to the wall and made a fantastic, leaping catch of Jason Kubel's drive to center. What's so amazing about Span is how smooth and easy he makes those plays. Plenty of others would make the catch, but only after racing to the wall and making some kind of acrobatic maneuver. Span doesn't need the razzmatazz. He just puts himself in position to make the play and does it effortlessly.

5:50 p.m. — Man, can Aaron Hill grind out an at-bat, or what? The pesky little second baseman has been fouling off pitches all week, and he was up to it again in the top of the third, really making Strasburg work. Fortunately, Parra bailed the Nats out when he tried to swipe second base on a pitch in the dirt. Jhonatan Solano quickly retrieved it and fired to Rendon to get the out, ending the inning and leaving Hill in the batter's box. Still 0-0 heading to the bottom of the third.

6:05 p.m. — Four scoreless innings now for Strasburg, who is getting all kinds of movement on his pitches today. He struck out Hill on a 97 mph sinker that broke six inches down and to the right. You wouldn't know it based on the way his narrative has been spun this season, but Strasburg now sports a 2.29 ERA for the year. He's pitched a whole lot better than you think. Still 0-0 here.

6:15 p.m. — Corbin made Desmond look downright silly flailing away at an 0-1 slider in the bottom of the fourth, but Ian got his revenge three pitches later. On Corbin's 2-2 slider, Desmond this time stayed back and crushed it into the left-field bullpen. That's his 13th homer of the season, now tops on the team ahead of Bryce Harper. This one gives the Nats and Strasburg a 2-0 lead after four.

6:22 p.m. — Nice turn from Rendon on a 6-4-3 double play to end the top of the fifth. He's getting better and better at that with practice and game experience. Still 2-0 Nats.

6:45 p.m. — Whoops, Strasburg finally has a hiccup in the top of the sixth, and it costs him. He gave up a leadoff single to Corbin to open the inning. Two batters later, he grooved a 1-0 fastball to Aaron Hill and watched as the ball sailed into the left field bullpen for a two-run, game-tying homer. Strasburg continued to struggle after that, surrendering an infield single and then issuing a walk to put himself in a jam. He battled back and got out of the inning, but he's now at 102 pitches through six innings of what is now a 2-2 ballgame.

6:57 p.m. — Strange moment in the bottom of the sixth as Hunter Wendelstedt calls LaRoche out on what he thought was a swinging third strike on a high-and-tight pitch. LaRoche, though, argued and insisted the ball struck his bat. So even though the D'backs were trotting off the field, Wendelstedt told everyone to slam on the brakes and then sought assistance from third base umpire (and crew chief) Greg Gibson. Gibson determined the ball really did hit LaRoche's bat, so the at-bat continued. We complain about bad calls by umps all the time, but let's take this opportunity to give props to Wendelstedt for actually being willing to seek help. That's the way it's supposed to work. It remains 2-2 as we go to the seventh and Strasburg re-takes the mound, sitting on 102 pitches.

7:04 p.m. — Wow, guess there was nothing to worry about. Strasburg just mowed down the D'backs in the seventh on 11 pitches. So his final line will read: 7 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 4 K, 113 pitches. The Nats will need to score off Corbin in the bottom of the seventh, though, to put him in line for the win. Still 2-2.

7:17 p.m. — Man oh man, there has been some spectacular defense on display today by both clubs. Add Paul Goldschmidt to the tally, because he just robbed Span of a sure go-ahead double down the right-field line. Instead, the seventh innings ends with the game still tied 2-2. Strasburg can't earn the win, and now the game is in Drew Storen's hands.

7:27 p.m. — Wow, that was the most dominant inning of Storen's season. (Maybe his career.) He struck out the top of the Arizona lineup with a filthy assortment of pitches, getting Parra and Goldschmidt on changeups and Hill on a slider. Really impressive stuff there from Storen, keeping this a 2-2 game heading to the bottom of the eighth.

7:39 p.m. — Onto the ninth, still a tie game. It's Ian Krol looking to continue his impressive start to his big-league career.

7:53 p.m. — And the Ian Krol Fairy Tale continues. He put two guys on in the ninth, but escaped. The lefty has yet to allow a run and has put only four men on base in his first 9 2/3 big-league innings. Bottom of the ninth ahead, still 2-2. Who's going to win this thing?

8:02 p.m. — And David Hernandez strikes out the side. We go to extras!

8:11 p.m. — A scoreless top of the 10th from Rafael Soriano in the non-save situation. So the Nats have another chance to walk it off here in the bottom of the inning. It'll be Chad Tracy, Span and Rendon against right-hander Josh Collmenter.

8:25 p.m. — To the 11th. Span had a one-out single up the middle, but neither Rendon nor Zimmerman could drive the winning run home. And unfortunately, I've now got to head up to Bethesda for tonight's Baseball Show. Hopefully Chase will be able to take over from his perch in the press box in Bowie...

8:42 p.m. -- A Didi Gregorius bunt brings home Pollock to put the D-Backs up 3-2 in the 11th. Up next for the Nats is Werth, LaRoche, and Desmond.

8:53 p.m. -- Nats lose as Desmond grounds into a double play to end the game, final score is 3-2.

Don't expect much offense today with Corbin pitching. Hopefully we capitalize on a few of his mistakes or get to their bullpen early. That's our best shot.

David,

Corbin is definitely a good pitcher but looking at his overall numbers the one major difference between last year and this is that last year his BABIP was .313 and this year it's .243 which tells me that in addition to being good he's also been very lucky this year.

So having basically said I don't care all that much about the batting order, I've now been thinking about it. Seems like someone is going to have to take one for the team when Harper returns, and the question is who:

1. Rendon, because you have to drop him to 7th to recreate the season opening lineup that we haven't had since sometime in April.

2. Span, because you want to have Werth and Rendon at the top of the lineup in some order, so Span needs to bat 7th or 8th.

3. Werth, because you want to keep Rendon where he is, insert Harper at No. 3, and there's no way Werth should hit before Desi when everyone's back.

4. Desi, see No. 3, except Werth's psyche is too delicate to bat 7th, or you want the guy who is hitting almost .400 (Rendon) to bat 6th rather than 7th.

All of this assumes you keep the catcher in the 8 hole My preference is 2. I have a feeling Davey will go for 1 or 4. But again, I don't think it matters all that much.

Ishmael said...

Batting order:

Count me in the camp that thinks you want the guys who are best at getting base (or not making outs, which is the same thing) at the top of the order. So I'd take your #2, and drop Span to 8th, or maybe 7th.

I like the idea of having him get on before the pitcher, where he can be sacrificed to second (if he gets on), for Werth, Rendon and Harper.

I don't think Davey will do this, however.

Me: Here is a funny memory I have of Darren Daulton. Toward the end of his career the Phillies planned to move him to the OF and this one he played almost daily in the OF. He was also in a heated divorce with his model wife. Well his wife was the model on all the Hooters advertisements. So he learning the OF that spring and every time he goes back on a ball there is a giant Hooter ad on the wall (Clearwater I think) with his wife’s picture on in. He had to deal with that the whole spring. I’m smiling just remembering it.

Werth's psyche is not too fragile to bat 7th. In fact, don't be surprised if he suggests it to Davey himself. Davey may have been laying the groundwork for that with his comments last night about not having decided yet to pull Werth out of the 2 spot.

The Nats' general pattern at home is to delay the game if there's even a moderate chance of there being a lengthy delay to avoid losing the starting pitcher - don't want to risk missing innings from Gio, Strasburg or Zimmermann if you can avoid it. So the odds of a delay for caution's sake seem high.

Ghost, I think Jordan is needed Saturday, not Sunday.

I agree with you about calling pitchers up prematurely, but at least Jordan is 24, so that makes it a little less risky.

Ghost Of Steve M. said...

It looks like an almost certainty that Taylor Jordan will be the Nats starting pitcher on Saturday. I think it's premature to make the callup because you have Ohlendorf.

Most of these callups have been getting crushed of late and that includes Gausman and Bauer of late.

The Orioles have taken several top prospects and turned them into has-beens quickly. Matusz, Arrietta, and wouldn't be surprised to add Gausman and Bundy to that list.

Calling up hitters prematurely isn't as damaging as doing it with pitchers.

David Proctor said...

Eric,

Eckstein was just talking about how he wants the Nats to be a good fastball hitting team. It's not necessarily all about pulling (but if you can pull, do it), but it's about hitting fastballs when you get it. He praised Moore for hitting his homer last night but said in his first AB, he got a 3-1 fastball on the inner half and tried to go opposite field and he should have just pulled it. Said we need to stop taking fastballs down the middle just to try and work the count. If we get a fastball, hit it. (Davey mentioned this as well and said he likes how the DBacks do it). Make pitchers fear throwing a fastball to you. And then you can adjust to the offspeed off of that.

Basically it all goes back to what Davey was saying about being too passive. We're taking too many fastballs down the middle. If you get a fastball, swing.

You are quick! Yep, Saturday.

Taylor's age hopefully helps but isn't a given as you can see with the Cardinals. Not even the Cardinals have made it work with all of their callups. Shelby Miller worked but he showed in Spring Training that he was ready just like Jordan Zimmermann did in Spring Training of 2009 and note that Jordan Z had no starts in the Majors prior to winning the #5 in the 2009 season.

Turning Rosenthal into a starter didn't work. Wacha got sent back down after 3 starts and he looked great his first start. Gast started 3 games for the Cardinals and he's 24 years old and got sent back with a 5+ ERA. Tyler Lyons is 25 years old and has started 6 games and his ERA is 5.50+

Taylor Jordan could look great Saturday and it still isn't a guarantee as Wacha looked Ace in his first start and blasted in his next 2. Gausman got blasted in all of his starts.

I would rather see him in September in a low pressure start and then let him compete in Spring Training.

Section 222 said...

Has anyone asked Davey why he prefers to bring up Jordan to giving Ohlendorf another start? I'm truly curious about that.

TexNat said...

Section 222, he said its because if he did that he would have to put some other young pitcher into the long role that Ohlendorf is currently occupying and that he didn't want to do that.

June 27, 2013 4:37 PM

He was hurt beforehand and they rushed him back which was odd with their handling of him as their #1 prospect, but I believe that it was inevitable that he would have needed the Tommy John at some point. What should be more concerning is how some players over-compensate when they have elbow injuries that cause other issues and I wouldn't be surprised if he never develops into a good pitcher.

Without Dr. Yocum it will also be interesting how Dr. Andrews does. Other doctors track records on TJ surgery success and players having nerve damage is well documented. Yes, better an elbow than a shoulder but I'm just glad the Nats players had Yocum.

Get Your Re(n)d On said...

Might as well bring Taylor Jordan up now and give him a shot. By doing it now, Rizzo and Davey find out whether or not they need to go after starting pitching at the deadline. If Jordan shows that he's ready, you keep him and remain silent at the deadline. If he falls short, you send him back down and acquire a starter. No harm, no foul.

JD said...

Ghost,

Your points are very well taken. Most young pitchers fail. Some fail and then succeed but some go by the way side. I think it was foolish for the Orioles to push an 18 year old Bundy so quickly.

I think that with Jordan it's just a reward for a tremendous season so far and the reasonable possibility that he will hold his own. Given his age I don't really see that much down side here. It would be nice to get a glimpse and see if we have our potential 5th starter in house.

Ghost Of Steve M. said...

TexNat said...
Section 222, he said its because if he did that he would have to put some other young pitcher into the long role that Ohlendorf is currently occupying and that he didn't want to do that.

I didn't hear him say that but I don't buy it. He had Ryan Perry as a mop up until they removed him from the 40 man.

Karns was ready to bring up and try because he was ready and went through Spring Training. This is a change in philosophy and it could work out poorly in a "must win" game. Sometimes it works great like Wacha did in his 1st game as the other team has no scouting. Sometimes like Matt Moore the pitcher is the real deal and is just ready.

Ishmael said...

It's funny about Davey not wanting to put a young pitcher in the long reliever role. I'm pretty certain that Earl Weaver believed that long relief was the best place for a young starter. (I've been too busy to find my Weaver book and look this up.)

Eric said...

"I didn't hear him say that but I don't buy it. "

I heard it...he said it was too awkward a role, I think because the likelihood of coming into games is so hit or miss over time. I took it to be similar to the idea that young hitters need reps at the plate.

JD said...

I'm not buying the long relief story either. I just don't think Davie and Mc.Catty really believe in Ohlendorf.

I wonder if anyone on the board saw Jim Vance of Channel 4 throw out the first pitch at last night's game. Did it strike (no pun intended) anyone as strange?

I was watching George Michaels report in the early days, when it looked like the stadium deal would not go through. George said, sadly and breathlessly, that this would mean Major League Baseball would not come to Washington.

Jim Vance replied, "Good. Let them go screw somebody else." He stood squarely--and consistently--against baseball's return to Washington and against the stadium deal. And last night he threw out the first pitch, exulting in the adoration Major League Baseball poured upon him, in the stadium he fought to prevent from being built.

Did anyone else notice?

Theophilus T. S. said...

Strasburg's doin' it again; not going after hitters, dinking and dunking. How can you let the pitcher have an AB like that? In the meantime, Nats down in the third on, what, ten pitches -- probably less.

K ok Stras

Ghost Of Steve M. said...

K ok!!!

jeffwx said...

Stras got some stuff today

Faraz Shaikh said...

what is ss pitch count now? mlb.com ain't working for me.

Holden Baroque said...

Faraz, 66, 45 strikes.

Faraz Shaikh said...

Thanks sofa. anyways, offense needs to get going.

MrsB loves the Nats said...

Come on guys... Stop with this simple first pitch swinging... Work this guy....

Dang...

Eugene in Oregon said...

Faraz,

Steven Strasburg has thrown 66 pitches through four innings.

Faraz Shaikh said...

THanks Eugene.

Holden Baroque said...

I'll take an Oly, Mr. Oregon. ; )

Secret wasian man said...

This looks like first team to score will win.

Yessssss...... Good going Desi!!!!

Secret wasian man said...

Hahahaha. Lets hop I'm right.

Secret wasian man said...

Ugh Tyler. Put in shark for defense

David Proctor said...

Now make it stick, Stras.

Ghost Of Steve M. said...

I agree SWM, time to put in Shark for D.

David Proctor said...

If Strasburg can go 6, I'll be pleased right now. He's pitching a shutout so far, but it's an ugly looking one.

Ghost Of Steve M. said...

Let's get that GIDP

Holden Baroque said...

I always want to spell it Spann after my favorite piano player.

Meant to high-five this earlier--I still catch myself calling Denard "Otis."

David Proctor said...

There's the GODP Stras needed.

Ghost Of Steve M. said...

Summoned. Pitcher leads off next inning.

Holden Baroque said...

Speaking of summoning: jeffwx, that line of stuff is coming together around Charlottesville-Harrisonburg, like you said. Looks like it might not get solid or hit us, though. Wait and see...

Secret wasian man said...

Yeah Davey always takes him until its too late. Although bullpen lately a little nerve racking

Ghost Of Steve M. said...

Nice Stras!

Unknown said...

sweet 2 strike bunt SS

Ghost Of Steve M. said...

Knucks! FP with another oldie but goodie.

Unknown said...

Span, wtf?

Secret wasian man said...

When Harper comes back Span needs to move down in the order.

David Proctor said...

Span's in a bad place offensively, but he will improve. He has to. It would be bizarre for him to perform THIS far below his career norms.

Unknown said...

Corbin is a good pitcher, no question...and to think AZ got him for Haren or in some Haren trade with others, one would think AZ got the better end of that deal.

Ghost Of Steve M. said...

Pitcher hit?

David Proctor said...

Hit by the pitcher hurts.

Holden Baroque said...

Man, Parra is having a tough game.

Dang. So is Strasburg now.

Ghost Of Steve M. said...

Leadoff hits by pitchers come to bite you.

jeffwx said...

Aaron Hill...pain in the butt

Span just can't seem to hit lefties this season.

jeffwx said...

yes, that line now north of Fredricksburg looks interesting...I got ac put in finally so am chillin

Alphabet Soup Erik said...

Strasburg about to implode like always...he just isn't that good, folks!!! He's lucky those 2 other balls didn't go out. He just doesn't have the mental make-up to be an ace.

jeffwx said...

Is Stras out of gas ?

Jane Elizabeth said...

Strasburg's progress in mastering his craft has been disappointing to me.

David Proctor said...

Oh look who's back. The guy who was nowhere to be found during our wins or when Strasburg was dominating. What a joke.

Holden Baroque said...

Man, it's like there's some app that alerts people when to come in here and start in.

Secret wasian man said...

Once again Davey pushes him to far and now we are in trouble. It's hot and muggy. Kid been struggling all day. STAMMen time but it may be too late.

Alphabet Soup Erik said...

When was Strasburg dominating? I missed that.

Jane Elizabeth said...

He may be here because he wants to be assured that all is right, David. I honestly doubt that many people have the time to come here just to annoy people. Some people are natural pessimists. Let's not hate them for that.

David Proctor said...

His last start, when he struck out 9, walked none and gave up 1 run over 7 innings.

Holden Baroque said...

I honestly doubt that many people have the time to come here just to annoy people.

You're new to this Interwebz thing, aren't you WODL?

Jane Elizabeth said...

I often come here during the bad moments because I know there are people with greater insight into certain things and I want to hear what they have to say.

Jane Elizabeth said...

I am new to the internets. I was one of those late arrivers back in 1993.

Secret wasian man said...

Way to go Davey. I was the Baltimore game when we led 6 2. And Davey left Jordan in until it was 6 to 6. Needless to say we lost. What is with him? I just don't get it

jeffwx said...

These Dbacks are a good hitting team in any case...foul off a lot of pitches....make you throw a lot...good power.

Jane Elizabeth said...

I did have Prodigy in 1989 but that was BBS.

Holden Baroque said...

I often come here during the bad moments because I know there are people with greater insight into certain things and I want to hear what they have to say.

And IMO it shows in your posts, WODL.

Jane Elizabeth said...

You give up a walk to the pitcher and then groove a pitch to the next hitter. Tom Seaver only did that a few times every season.

Alphabet Soup Erik said...

Strasburg has great stuff. Too bad he has to make everything so difficult by being a stupid pitcher. Why does he have to throw 100+ pitches through 5-6 innings of every start?

Holden Baroque said...

Prodigy--wow, that takes me back!

Jane Elizabeth said...

You seem like a rude guy, Sec. 3.

Jane Elizabeth said...

Now let's welcome all. It makes Mark more $$$

Secret wasian man said...

If people want to come here and vent then let them. I watch the games alone. And when I'm frustrated I take to this site for comfort and to converse with fellow fans. It's pretty rude to SLAM the door in some ones face. But some here think it must be always rah rah positive.

Holden Baroque said...

Well, Bob Gibson did it now and then, too. I'm not sure Seaver is a fair standard to hold people to.

Jane Elizabeth said...

I will eat my pretzel and leave things to all the positive guys. I still think Strasburg's pitch showed a lack of concentration but hell, I've never stood out there in the hot sun with guys smacking balls back at me....

Eugene in Oregon said...

Strasburg about to implode like always...
+++++++++++++++++

Interesting definition of 'always' there. Mr. Strasburg has started 14 games prior to today. In those games he gave up the following earned runs:

0, 6, 0, 2, 3, 2, 4, 0, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, and 1.

In four of those games there were additional unearned runs allowed, included 4 unearned runs on May 11.

But 'always' implode? I don't see it. Please offer some facts to back your assertion.

Holden Baroque said...

You seem like a rude guy, Sec. 3.

I'm sorry you got that impression; it wasn't my intention, and I apologize.

Jane Elizabeth said...

I still think we are going to we the division and I think the Braves are not good. I even went to see the guys in Space Coast Stadium. I just think that was a lazy pitch is all.

Secret wasian man said...

People that don't care wouldn't be here. Now if I may vent. 3 men left at second in this game. And get the piano off your back WERTh. And I don't wanna hear he is hurt.

Ghost Of Steve M. said...

ALR time to get it going.

Jane Elizabeth said...

I accept. Sometimes context doesn't come through when typing. People on here think I love Peter Angelos and it was nothing more than a one night stand--I swear!

Secret wasian man said...

Daveys the one who has imploded.

Jane Elizabeth said...

That Sunday game against Cleveland, I almost didn't think I could take watching anymore, and that was after the game at Atlanta with 2nd and 3rd and nobody out....

Secret wasian man said...

Go shave Gibson

Holden Baroque said...

I just think that was a lazy pitch is all.

It certainly wasn't a good pitch. FWIW, I was a little surprised Davey sent him back out.

Joe Seamhead said...

Well, I'm late to the party. Just breezed through the posts. Also just saw the replay of Span's catch. Not too shabby. For the poster that stated that Strasburg just isn't that good, I'll tell you this: there isn't a GM in MLB that would agree with your opinion.

Holden Baroque said...

I accept. Sometimes context doesn't come through when typing.

Thank you, that's gracious of you. You did know the "new around here" line was a joke, right?

Jane Elizabeth said...

Bob Short is the only owner I have the energy to despise.

Jane Elizabeth said...

I was all ready to gloat about giving this guy his first loss. Oh, well, we may still have a couple of innings.

Holden Baroque said...

There's that "taking fastballs down the middle" thing, again.

Secret wasian man said...

Just can't stand backwards Ks.

Jane Elizabeth said...

I am always grouchy after we let the opposing pitcher on and then they hit a homer.

Secret wasian man said...

Davey brings back Stras so he can pinch hit him next inning. Ughhhhh hold your breath.

David Proctor said...

I mean...if someone told me 7 innings, 2 runs for Strasburg, I'd probably have taken it. Need more runs, but I guess Corbin is staying in since he just hit for himself.

MrsB loves the Nats said...

Gosh.... I go to meet my new puppy, who is sitting here sleeping under my legs, and we are tied...

What the heck happened!?!?!?

David Proctor said...

Stras gave up a hit to the pitcher and then a home run to Aaron Hill.

Eugene in Oregon said...

So, I think we can add a 2 ER outing to Mr. Strasburg's season, which means in 15 starts he's twice given up more than 3 ERs -- 6 ERs once and 4 ERs another time. So I'm still waiting for that reality-based explanation of how he 'always' implodes.

MrsB loves the Nats said...

Wow... Totally surprised that SS went out there for the 7th.... Good on ya SS...

7 innings... 2 hits... Just like Jordan last night...

Come on Nats bats!

Holden Baroque said...

So that wasn't so bad.

Since you mentioned Seaver, it prompted me to look him up.

His age 24 season, 1969, he was 25-7, won the Cy Young award, and the World Series. So that's a pretty good year. But he did give up 24 home runs, so maybe there's hope for Strasburg yet.

Secret wasian man said...

Ugh Just our luck. Great play. D. M. It

Holden Baroque said...

Man, good thing Parra hit the end of the padding on Moore's fly, instead of the fence.

Golly, I hate that thing.

Secret wasian man said...

Marrero?. Isn't Stevie Wonder available? This kid can't play.

MrsB loves the Nats said...

So we have been robbed 2 times now.... Gosh the DBacks can play some D...
