The Nationals don't intend to announce tomorrow's starting pitcher until tomorrow morning because they need to make a corresponding roster move.
But manager Jim Riggleman said he would let Marlins skipper Fredi Gonzalez know in advance as a courtesy. And the Marlins' game notes currently list Matt Chico as tomorrow's starter.
Infer from that as you will.
UPDATE AT 6:31 P.M. -- Here is the full story on Chico's return on CSNwashington.com.

I am happy for Matt. I think he will do well. I remember him from his unhealthy days. He is a fighter. I wlll be cheering him on.
It means you can skip Saturday night's game.
If they keep Lannan it probably means JMax may again be headed for SYR.
Congrats Matt Chico!
...send Willy Taveras on his way out. Or Miguel Batista.
I'm thinking Gonzalez. Riggleman said (somewhere) this morning that he can't Gonzalez enough at-bats and he's in the worst 3 against Josh Johnson (thanks for the preview, Mark).
This one is tough though. Already with 6 relievers, it's not like Walker, Batista or Bruney are going anywhere. It has to be either Maxwell, Bernadina or Gonzalez and my bet is the latter.
p.s. Good for Chico!
Sending down Batista would leave the Nats with only 5 relievers. In my opinion 6 is ideal, 5 too little and 7 or 8 too many.
Good luck Chico!
... I'm glad they didn't succumb to the entreaties of Jason Marquis, that he should start. I only hope he doesn't get all sulky and feel dissed in the process.
... I've got nothing against Taveras, but I agree he's the one to be removed. I mean who else would there be?
Go Nats!
Between Taveras, Bernadina and Maxwell, one of those three has to go. I'd prefer to keep Bernadina....
The Nats will send down Maxwell. They currently have a surplus of outfielders and JMax, as much as I like the kid, has looked just awful at the plate.
Do I win for guessing Chico last week?
Anon8 - only if Chico gets a quality start :)
As a courtesy to Fredi Gonzo, I would have told him tomorrow's pitcher will be Screech!
Stammen isn't helping himself at the plate so far. As good as he is at getting singles, bunting, not so good.
Good for Chico. He took the ball for us plenty before he was brokeded. Go get 'em, Matt!
