Its the trying hard to be the town's smokin' hot blonde baseball sports babe? You actually listen and not watch? Stick with Amanda who actually tries extremely hard to be a real, well informed Nats beat writer.
pRAA makes a good point on the extra games they have built into the playoff strips (which charge you for 9 total games). (Oh my, we're in agreement twice in one day. Must. Pick. Fight. Soon.) In fact, I think they've built in an extra game that's not theoretically possible. Even if there's tiebreaker to get into the WC game, doesn't the winner of the WC game have a max of only 2 NLDS and 3 NLCS home games? So it seems like the real maximum is 7 home games, or 8 if you play and win a tiebreaker to win the division. Maybe I'm missing something. After the WC game is played, is the seeding determined by records, so the WC winner could theoretically end up having home field advantage against a division winner?
Anyway, this playoff strips plan is in part a glorified way to get early deposits on next year's season tickets. Pretty soon they'll be asking us to renew in June.
Even if there's tiebreaker to get into the WC game
There could be a tiebreaker game to decide the division champion, too. Indeed, I wouldn't be surprised if there's some far-out scenario that would require two tiebreaker games. Just be glad we're not getting billed for that one as well.
I know we all really tend to get off topic, but this morning it seems to be not even be in the same universe. Who are you talking about peric - did I miss a post? I know who Amanda is, of course. She used to write for my parent's hometown newspaper. I think the rest is about playoff formats. I think this road trip might be a good place to start?
I believe that the comment referenced the gal in the video. For the record, I also think Amanda does a great job. But imho, there's plenty of room in this town for more than one female sports reporter, regardless of whether or not someone finds her hot. ;-)
Yes, NatsJack, I do realize that Comak is a beat writer, and I do realize that Johnson is not a beat writer. I was not the one who made the evident comparison. I was responding to that evident comparison. My point is, why would one be a threat to the other, and why does physical appearance need to enter into it? Because they're both women, I suppose. Anyway, the more female sports reporters, the better, I say. :-) And I have no idea what it has to do with Ghost. You'd have to ask peric that.
My SWAG: perhaps his issue was that you agreed with the premise of the post, as expressed by Ms. Johnson, who is not Ms. Comak, in the embedded video. ;-)
OK, as far as I can figure this out, Brian Jackson's headline reads "Video: Strasburg Dominates Marlins", to which Ghost seems to be replying "Yes he has [dominated]."
Peric seems to be replying to Ghost, (I think he meant "[Is she] trying hard to be the town's smokin' hot blonde baseball sports babe?") but really it seems to be an non-sequitur cheap-shot-in-the-dark at the reporter that had nothing to do with Ghost's post, or the video content. Then, everybody was just standing around going "WTH?" for several posts. Then we moved on.

Yes he has. 3-0 the last two seasons and that great performance to close out 2011.
Ghost,

Peric, not exactly sure of your point above. Amanda sometimes does some very good analysis.

Thanks NatsJack!
natsfan1a, still have no clue how my comment at the top has anything to do with Amanda or the woman in the video.

Gotcha, NJ. I think I'll just move on now. ;-)

That is all. Cue the boldface.
