Stephen Strasburg dominated during his two months in the minor leagues, absolutely dominated hitters at Class AA and Class AAA to the tune of a 1.30 ERA and not a single outing among 11 starts that could legitimately be considered subpar.
And then he took the mound at Nationals Park tonight for his big-league debut and made all those previous appearances look pedestrian.
Read my account of Strasburg's masterpiece, along with a breakdown of every one of his 94 pitches, on CSNwashington.com.
(Note: I'll be co-hosting a two-hour, day-after Strasburg special with Andy Pollin on ESPN 980 Wednesday morning from 6-8 a.m. Eastern.)

I just got back from the park. Sweet Jeezus! 14k's, no BB's, topped 100 MPH, had 3 k's in 3 different innings, and struck out everybody in the Pirate's order at least once. Yeah, he exceeded any and all of my expectations!
