"Clip 'n' Save" lead the way

There may not be a more dominant 1-2 relief punch in baseball right now than Tyler Clippard and Matt Capps, who are as responsible for the Nationals' winning April as anyone else.

Read about the dynamic duo's lights-out start to the season on CSNwashington.com.

It was the bullpen implosion which sunk the ship for the Nats last April so nice to see this combination working so well.

If Storen is the guy we think he is, this bullpen could be the envy of the league ;-)

MarkMeister, wad ya think about alternateing Brunett & Storen and Clippard & Capps? At this point Capps is looking a bit over-worked--his fastball is being clocked somewhat slower.

Send Clipard to Anaheim!! This kid is the "Clark Kent" of relievers. He looks like Clark Kent when he walks to the mound, but Superman takes over on the mound!

Can you say "Store-Clip-and Save" once Storen arrives.

Tconstant - That is good (Store-n Clip & Save), and like Cadeck said, Clippard and others could get an All Star trip to Anaheim even though that is a long way away.

June 1st can't get here soon enough for more help to arrive.

Talking about help, what is the story about Mike Morse?

First by misschatter and company over on the MASN live thread.
As was clip 'n save.

"June 1st can't get here soon enough for more help to arrive."

Based on what is going on in Syracuse you can expect that 'cavalry' to be in the form of Ron Vilone per Riggleman I am guessing. Vilone is being used ... English and Storen not so.

So, your replacement for a struggling Bruney: Vilone.

Ooops SYR with a shutout. Both English and Storen share 3 innings. Storen allows 3 hits.
