Stephen Strasburg, as expected, will make his next rehab start Wednesday night at low-Class A Hagerstown, returning to the site of his first outing 10 days prior.
The Suns made the official announcement on their website: Strasburg will face the Lexington Legends at 7:05 p.m.
The right-hander is expected to pitch four innings or about 60 pitches, ramping up from his three-inning start Friday night at high-Class A Potomac, in which he struck out five and didn't allow a ball to leave the infield.
Though Strasburg is going down one level in the Nationals' farm system for this next appearance, it's in no way a demotion. The organization simply wants to make sure he pitches in home games, and the only other affiliate at home Wednesday is Class AAA Syracuse.

So what do you think is the day he will hit the show? Please tell me it's Sept 6 when I have tickets.
Yes, I'm first, ha ha. Next year with the big guy back can't come fast enough.
lovedanats, you beat me!!!!
Sorry, Mick. But you are right. He can't get back fast enough.
Mick, please. We don't do that here.
So am I third or fifth?
Lovedanats, I guarantee it will be that day. And you can hold me to it.
One almost feels bad for the Lexington Legends.
Almost, but not quite.
Are you kidding? I would love to face a pitcher like Strasburg if I was toiling away in A ball. Tons of media, full stands, face the greatest prospect in a generation AND possibly get a hit and a story for my children/grandchildren?
Sounds pretty good for the type of players who fill A ball rosters.
