-- You probably know already that the Nationals signed former Rangers/Brewers/Blue Jays outfielder Kevin Mench to a minor-league contract. Mench, owner of one of the largest heads in major-league history, spent last season in Japan and will have an outside shot at making the Opening Day roster this spring. Washington also has signed right-hander Nick Maness and third baseman Angel Gonzalez to minor-league contracts in the last week.
-- The Brewers have claimed right-hander Marco Estrada off waivers. Estrada, who was designated for assignment by the Nats last week to make room on the roster for free agent reliever Tyler Walker, was effective at Class AAA but in two late-season call-ups to Washington the last two years, he just didn't look like big-league material.
-- The Nats just announced that 2010 single-game tickets will go on sale March 2 at 10 a.m., and announced all of this season's promotional giveaways. Here's the full list...

Another post with poll results and my five reasons to think the Nats could be in a pennant race in 2011 coming shortly...

Mark, I think you should organize a campaign to have Manny Acta as the Fan Choice bobblehead, just so we can all watch JayB's head explode.
Doubt many people want to return to 143 errors, second highest total in 10 years and 300 seasons of baseball...but it might make sense to you ABM....watching good baseball never has been a priority for you has it?
Ah, to dream of the day when the Nationals can plan bobblehead giveaways for 3 or 4 players who:
1) are all-star candidates
2) have started their position for a full season with the Nats
3) are under contract for more than a year
Until then, we have Zimm and "Fans Choice TBD"
JayB, I'll take watching today's bad baseball over endless pointless rehashing of yesterday's bad baseball any day of the week. If today's baseball turns out not to be bad, so much the better.
Those who do not learn from the past are doomed to repeat it ABM
