Can only hope his current streak continues. Keep in mind they only put Nyjer in cherry matchups against righty pitchers.Mark'dnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3442809928829881676.post-19267903879433515302011-10-05T08:37:25.898-04:002011-10-05T08:37:25.898-04:00Tony Flush finished last night at 1-11 w/ 6 strike...Tony Flush finished last night at 1-11 w/ 6 strikeouts and a .091 Batting Average. Typical bad breaks on balls hit in front of him. He also is easy to run on with his weak arm.

Yep, that .545 K/AB rate makes me wonder why they don't throw more fastballs his way.Gonatnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3442809928829881676.post-63977262830625273442011-10-05T07:07:24.894-04:002011-10-05T07:07:24.894-04:00My husband already knew the vocabulary word. I also like any team in the playoffs that is not from NewYork or Philly. But - Nyger, eh. Jerry Hairston, Jr. was a good guy on our team until he made snarky comments when he left. D'Backs - yeah, they were kind of D'Bags when they played us. Same with the Cards - very whiny, kind of poor sports. But - at the end of the day I would love to see the Yanks and Phils eliminated, so you have to make some compromises I guess. I liked the whole Rays comeback story but they couldn't sustain it. Even though I am not fond of AL baseball, I think PapaGrande Valverde is very funny and would love to see his victory dances get more elaborate if Detroit moves on.baseballswaminoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3442809928829881676.post-827236300787104782011-10-05T06:23:57.071-04:002011-10-05T06:23:57.071-04:00Thanks for the vocabulary word, Mark. :-)

The Tony Plush thing gets real old real fast. D'Backs probably won't win but it gives me hope about next year. If they can go from 90 losses to 90 wins why can't we jump as well??sjm308noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3442809928829881676.post-41451585585054692932011-10-04T23:17:37.307-04:002011-10-04T23:17:37.307-04:00I have a problem with Nyjer's quotes when he w...I have a problem with Nyjer's quotes when he was traded about going to a winning team and assorted other jabs.
