I was about 10 when the Senator's left, Povich went to his grave trying to get baseball back in DC, we have a growing young team stacked with potential superstars but still mostly complaints. Since when did it become a God given right to have a perenial playoff team simply because that team is in your city. These things take time. for my money I think the Nationals took the necessary steps to begin this process. Perhaps it will be slow and laborious but the Senators never won anything in my lifetime, the Reskins were bad like forever until Gibbs, the Bullets had a couple of runs and one championship. These people either grew up on Gibb's Redskins (and have no idea how long the team lost) or just fall into today's mindset that they DESERVE things. Give it a rest, the Nat's are on their way, sooner than most of you think, and when they get there keep your traps shut and don't jump on the bandwagon that you so vociferously critisized. Enjoy the growth, root for the team and let things develop. Jeez, we used to have Frank Howard,Eddie Brinkman & Dick Bosman--that was pretty much it, but to this day I remeber my now deceased Father screaming at the top of his lungs every time Frank Howard came to the plate, none of this other crap---"Go HONDO GO". Mr.Anonymous what exactly was so defensive about Riggs' answers? Riggleman comes close to being a players' manager, just because he's there to motivate. Its up to the Nats'players to take advantage of what Riggleman's motivational support can mean to the success of this team. He provides the opportunity, it is the players'responsibility to provide the production.Dochttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17614998804163989623noreply@blogger.com
